Like many women I worry about how I look especially in a bikini and since becoming an instructor I always dread bumping into someone from my class on the beach and them thinking 'Oh my she's not in very good shape for an instructor'! Like most women and probably more so mums I have rolls when I sit down, cellulite on my bum and stretch marks. I'm far from perfect and as hard as I try I'll never be a size 6 Cheryl Cole, size 8 Jessica Simpson or even the super toned Beyonce. I'll probably always be pretty small on top with hips that are bigger that the rest of my dress size and therefore I'll probably never find a pair of jeans to fit properly. Now I regularly exercise and I do try to eat healthy, but to be honest I'm not always that good on that front. Like most women I find it incredibly difficult, so whilst I'm very much you are what you eat I'm also a great believer in all in moderation. So because I'm not naturally designed to be size 8 or naturally athletic I'll probably never be exactly how I want to be without dramatic unhealthy changes. So I've decided to accept and be proud of my frame in all it's glory. I don't wish to look like any of the women next to me as beautiful as they are, because what's more important to me is showing that I can be confident in my own skin and hope that teaches my daughter to be too. I'm a healthy weight, size and BMI and whilst I'm far from being perfect being able to tell my daughter to love and accept what she is my priority and to teach her this I need to do this. So I'm delighted to say ' I'm not a size 8 and instead a fab pear sized 10 -12 depending on how good I've been :-) ' So ladies whilst being a healthy BMI and eating healthy and exercising is really important my message to you is be proud and learn to love what you've got because all the diets, liposuction, boob jobs, bootcamps won't make you feel any better if you don't learn to accept your natural frame whether that be apple, pear, boyish, curvy or hourglass. As the adverts say 'love your skin' Love Kirsty xx |
