The family behind 'Work it Baby'!
Work it Baby is ran by myself Kirsty Dee Bowerbank-Steel, but is driven by my family. My family is my number one, but 'Work it Baby' is something I love and I'm so incredibly proud of and passionate about. I really love helping mums like myself achieve goals. My little girl Peta-Summer was the reason I made the brave decision to re-train and start-up in business. My family keeps me in full swing ready to help lots of mummies on their journey to achieving those goals.
Establishing 'Work it Baby'
Growing 'Work it Baby'
In 2010 'Work it Baby' was given such great recognition, winning both a Unltd Award and a ‘Bournemouth Dragons’ award.
In 2011 the sucesss coninued and Work it Baby was shortlisted for more awards.
In 2012 I realised the market was changing and I needed to up my game and bring something new to Bournemouth, introducing Cheerobics®. I'm the 1st and currently the only one offering this class locally.
I also decided in 2012 it was important to share my journey of getting and staying in shape to help others. Running classes is one thing, but it's only a small step in helping others reach their goals. To do that you have to be honest and share your good experiences as well as your struggles. After all, I'm inspired by those that have overcome their struggles, and not from people who maintain something they find easy. Fitness experts who've always loved sports and healthy food don't really cut it for me. People who aren't naturally motivated but make small changes everyday towards their goals do. I'm very fortunate I have many women like this in my classes amd I'm truly proud of them. So now I want to be able to connect with them and so I share my thoughts, feelings and ups and downs on my blog here.
I also expanded my services in 2012 to offer the full package of support to the members. I did this by teaming up with local nutritionist Wendy King to bring the Weight Management Programme. Together we offer a service that includes the exercise element as well as the nutrition side. 2013 has started off amazing and we now have a sponsor. Diana of Grace The Day has become the sponsor of poms so that I can take more participants in class.
